Where are all these great reviews coming from? Is the author just making a bunch of different accounts? For one the information is very basic and borders on common sense. The difficult part is to execute the knowledge, which the book doesn't help with. For example, it is well known if you can control the environment, then you can influence someone's thought process. The book states this, but doesn't give any good examples or advise on how to do it really. And so it goes rehashing information that is in other books and kind of skimming the surface of a lot of topics without going into depth about it.Overall the book is interesting and ok. It may be useful in some small way, but it definitely seems over rated compared to the reviews here. It appears to be the same author as the Dantilion Jones books or whatever those other self published mind control books claim to be the author, as it rehashes basically the same information. It's an addition to one's library but it certainly isn't the comprehensive, in depth book it appears to be.
This book doesn't offer any new information, so the reader hopes that it will be presented in a new and interesting way. It is interesting, but sadly in the negative sense; it is interesting how such a poorly written book could garner so many positive reviews. The text abounds with clumsy sentences and needs editing.
Poorly researched (if you could call it that). Some "historical" references with regards to psychology, but it only serves to make this "appear" credible. There is nothing that gives me the impression that this author is an kind of authority on the subject. The writer's viewpoints are fallible to the point that I would call them fallacies. It was NOT the book on understanding the mind that I thought it would be.Looking through this author's "Author Page", it's clear that he is not a credible authority on any subject (no training or PhD). He is a writer who writes on "sellable" subjects where he can make a buck; what genuine writers will call a "scam writer".
The only part I enjoyed of this book was at the beginning, where I learned about some of the history of psychology and its basic concepts.Then the book presents concepts and a few sentences of how it could be used, but no clear examples of their application.Some of the concepts will help people who are in sales though.I find the book hard to follow, because there is no flow to it and similar concepts are not grouped together. I'll give you an example of a book that helped me with communications and was easy to follow. That book is titled "How to Make People Like You in 90 Seconds or Less."You get clear examples and repetition on that one, which helps understand the material and how to apply it. It is a simpler book about a different topic, but one that helps learn something new. Mind Control Mastery seems to be a compilation of google searches for concepts related to manipulation, psychology, observation, misleading... oh wait, those are all listed on the cover, just replace the word "Guide" by compilation of definitions.This book will consume too much time. Besides the difficulty of understanding the material, you'll have to dedicate time to take your own notes to remember so much information and you figure out how it could help.
First six chapters are quite insightfull, focused and backed up with examples for all types of person to person interactions where you are trying to win your argument. The rest of the book all of a sudden turned into a rambling of disconnected subjects geared towards salesmen who want to improve their sales.
Having read many books on this topic this one stands out. It is not pseudoscience mixing facts with snake oil, but concise and to the point with real world examples to demonstrate the main points. Much of the substance is in other related titles but the composition and flow is better than the other titles in my opinion. This book would be a huge benefit to any salesman or business owner and unquestionably increase their profits. For me it will help me in day to day interactions and in resolving matters with my staff and clients. You will not find any hypnotism or "Jedi mind tricks" here, just sound principles on how to use social psychology to gain an edge in your interactions.
This felt like a superficial "flyover" compared to other books I have read in the topic. Not a bad quick refresher book, but I do think your limits time would be better spent reading a different book.
I love the simplicity of the book, it's easy to read. The technique on how to manipulate people or how to avoid being manipulated, it could help improve your weaknesses and could use it sometime to manipulate others. It is also best suited for social environment like sales person, those in marketing field and in customer support.
